Education

I have a Bachelor's in Childhood Education and a minor in History from SUNY Cortland in upstate New York. I have 30 out of 36 credits of my Masters in Special Education from Towson Maryland and also have additional CPD credits in various areas like technology, teaching students with behavioral concerns and ELL. I have an advanced professional Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education and can teach grades 1-8 all subjects. I am also Special Ed certified in the state of Maryland. I have years of experience teaching primary students and also taught students in intermediate grades to fifth grade. I have worked in a public school setting for 6 years and have taught a diverse population of students includin ELL students, students with learning disabilities and behavioral challenges.

Experience

I have worked in a public school setting and taughty summer schools in the areas of phonics, reading, math and writing. I have taught small tutor groups after school in the areas listed above as well as private tutoring after school with many or my students. Hobbies

I love animals, reading and writing. I'm very motivated and I have great success with reaching even the toughest students. As a believer that all students can achive I will execute tutoring lessons that meet the child's needs and create motivating, hands on learning experiences that your child is interested in. I'm very creative in meeting a child's interests and will bring all materials and provide engaging lessons with practice and give advice to parents on how to help their child learn, and other supports that will help their child be successful in home and at school.
